By offering scholarships through the LOMA Society of South Central Texas, we hope to achieve the following:
Ø Promote interest and involvement in the society

Contribute to a larger segment of the
community
Ø Meet the OSA scholarship requirement to sponsor a scholarship program for college/university students
$1000 Scholarship for College
Students Qualifications
A
student at ANY fully accredited, 4-year institution of post-secondary education.
· Have a Junior,
Senior, or Graduate student status as of Fall Semester.
· Be enrolled as a
full-time student (minimum of 12 hours) for Spring and Fall semesters
· Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
· Pursuing an educational program preparatory to a career in the financial services industry. (For example: computer science, information systems, math, accounting, finance)
· Have a record of academic success, however, a genuine interest in a chosen field and the ability to clearly express career ambitions are more critical factors than high grades.
· Answer 3 essay questions with the application
· Not be a board member or related to a board member of the
LOMA Society of South Central Texas or Scholarship Committee member.
If chosen as the Scholarship
Recipient, you must provide a recent photo for recognition purposes only and
attend our November Fall Banquet.
