LOMA Society of South Central Texas

Distinguished Service Award

Criteria for Earning a Distinguished Service Award (DSA)

The DSA was originally introduced in 1987 to recognize past contributions of our Society's members and to encourage greater participation in the future.  In 1996, additional categories were added to expand the range of credit.  In 2009, the number of points needed to earn a DSA award was lowered to 20.

Society members may earn the distinguished service award with a required minimum of 20 points.  These points must be accumulated during a two-year period.

Fourteen (14) points must be from Society Participation

.  Six (6) must be earned from Community Service
